The Orchard Room

As part of our commitment to making our communities a better place to live and work, we are providing a meeting room at our Uptown Branch.

The Orchard Room is available for use by:

  • local non-profits,

  • registered charities,

  • sports teams, and 

  • service groups in the Shuswap​​.

Guidelines

 
  • All requests must be approved by our Marketing Department
  • Our branch staff will ensure room availability for the date and time requested
  • We reserve the right to refuse permission
  • We are not responsible for any personal items left in the room
 
  • The room is available for booking from Monday to Friday 9:00am to 8:30pm, and Saturdays 9:00am to 5:00pm 
  • All requests to book the room must be made at least two weeks in advance
  • The room may not be booked more than twice per month — limit four hours per meeting, for the same organization
 
  • Only non-profit organizations, registered charities, sports teams or service clubs may use the room
  • The room cannot have more than 12 people at one time
  • Your organization is fully responsible for your members and for any and all financial losses due to damage, theft or any usage of the room
  • If the security company must respond to an alarm as a result of one or more members of the group, the $75 fee will be charged to your organization
  • No smoking, alcoholic beverages or open flames are allowed at any time
  • Please ensure all items are removed upon leaving
  • Your organization may not use the room to generate funds by charging fees to attendees of meetings or seminars held there
