SASCU Unveils New Brand Purpose to “Raise the Shuswap”
SALMON ARM (December 5, 2024) — SASCU Credit Union is excited to launch its new brand purpose, “Raise the Shuswap”. This purpose is more than just a slogan – it’s SASCU’s commitment to grow members’ confidence, offer better choices that are relevant to our region, and strengthen the economic well being for everyone. It is about raising hope.
At the heart of this new purpose is a long-term strategy designed to deepen our connections with members, deliver value to the community, and enhance the resilience of our organization.
“We recognize the growing frustration with the traditional banking experience, and in today’s economic climate and increasingly digital world, people are seeking more personalized solutions that truly serve their needs,” said Julie Langham Wall, Chief Operating Officer of SASCU. “It starts with seeing a path forward. It starts with providing hope.”
“Raise the Shuswap” inspires staff with how they serve their changing members’ needs. “Every decision we make, every service we offer, is rooted here—by the people who live, work, and play in this region,” added Langham Wall. “We’re not just a local presence; we’re committed to tackling the challenges that lie ahead right alongside our members, local businesses, and our communities.”
The new Purpose was arrived at with the help of the brand professionals at Tenzing Communications Inc. It involved an in-depth process of gathering insights and input, including research into our role in the community, SASCU's roots, what the community needs, and workshops with staff and members.
In the upcoming days, SASCU Credit Union is rolling out supporting initiatives and offers:
- New financial education program,
- New member reward for children and teens, and
- The reopening of the freshly renovated Sicamous branch on December 17th, 2024.
