The situation regarding COVID-19 changes daily and our team is working intensely on solutions to support you and our staff’s physical and financial well being.

Branch visits should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. 

We want to ensure the safety of staff and members, so we ask you do not come in branch unless necessary. There are many alternatives to in-branch banking that can be done from the comfort of your own home: 

  • Call us at 250.832.8011 ─ our Contact Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Set Up Direct Deposits: The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will deposit the refunds and payments you're eligible for in your account, including the Canada Emergency Repsonse Benefit (CERB) and Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB). Login to online banking, click 'Account Services' in the left menu and then 'Set Up CRA Direct Deposit for Individuals (CERB/CESB).

Doing our part to slow the spread of COVID-19

As a community taking the necessary steps to slow the spread of COVID-19, we ask that you do not come in branch unless you absolutely need to or if you're experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

Following BC health guidelines and the co-operative model, here are some of the ways SASCU is protecting our staff and members. We've:

  • stopped face-to-face appointments; all advisor appointments have been moved to phone or email,
  • stopped walk in traffic to our Uptown branch; learn more,
  • stopped walk in traffic to our Insurance branches; learn more,
  • adjusted hours of counter transaction access at some locations,
  • implemented controlled entry based on service representative availability,
  • implemented mandatory cleaning of counters between each member,
  • enhanced daily cleanings of all staff and member areas,
  • increased availability of hand sanitizers for staff and public,
  • installed plexiglass at service counters,
  • practise social distancing between open counters and amongst staff,
  • directed self-isolation to staff per health authority recommendations,
  • and let our staff and members know that we are here for them by offering support resources.
